My Bridge Came Out/Broke! What Should I Do?

3 Unit Bridge

A dental bridge includes a minimum of 3 units. Two healthy teeth and a pontic which replaces the missing tooth. A broken or completely removed bridge must be fixed as soon as possible. This prevents food from getting trapped in the bridge which can potentially cause a cavity, if still in the mouth, and maintains the structure of all the surrounding teeth if it has been completely removed. It is important to avoid chewing on the affected area, practice good oral hygiene by brushing the area gently and continuing to floss, after contacting your dentist. Cooper City Family Dentistry, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is open during COVID-19 to help with your dental emergencies and needs.
